AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL THEORY

JUNKIE: CONFESSIONS of an UNREDEEMED DRUG ADDICT

Junkie: Confessions of an Unredeemed Drug Addict (originally titled Junk, later released as Junky) is a novel by American beat generation writer William S. Burroughs, published initially under the pseudonym William Lee in 1953. His first published work, it is semi-autobiographical and focuses on Burroughs' life as a drug user and dealer. It has come to be considered a seminal text on the lifestyle of heroin addicts in the early 1950s.

CRITICISM

It is an autobiographical story which is an account of the life of a person, written by that person. Jaime Hernandez narrate his own story in a novel. he discuss his life being a drug user and a drug dealer. Jaime Hernandez is considered as one of the toughest writer I've ever known because he write his own story that anyone who will read can look at him as a drug addict forever those people will judge him negatively.
